A homeowner whose property sits close to a newly realigned curve asked council for a front-yard screening wall to protect his family from errant vehicles; council approved a carefully designed, landscaped screening wall with lighting and plantings.

Homeowner Travis Steele told council the recent realignment of South Maxwell Creek Road left his house closer to the travel lane and that two vehicle crashes nearby convinced him to seek a screening wall in the front yard. "It's non optional to not do something to mitigate this threat," Steele said, describing prior rollovers and fire at nearby yards.
