Rosenberg shelter reports several adoptions at recent event

The mayor told the council that the Rosenberg animal control and shelter held an adoption event on Saturday, Aug. 23, aimed at reducing overcrowding at the facility. "There were 4 cats, that left the shelter on a foster to adopt. 1 cat and 1 dog all in addition to that, 1 cat and 1 dog foster adoption were finalized when the adopters came in to sign their bridal adoption paperwork," the mayor said while thanking volunteers and staff.
Mayor credited Cherry High School National Honor Society students and city staff for helping at the event and acknowledged Carolyn Seiler for coordinating the adoption tents. The mayor said increasing adoption events remains a priority to relieve shelter overcrowding.
