Supervisors approved a departmental reorganization in Human Services that abolishes a 1.0 FTE research specialist position and creates two 0.5 FTE positions: a resource specialist for operations/records and a resource specialist for operations/reception. Supervisor Hirsch described the change as an internal reshuffling that reduces costs.
"This is a reshuffling of an FTE, from 1 full time, FTE to 2 part time ones that actually saves us a little money," Hirsch said during the discussion. Budget and finance reviewed the proposal and recommended approval; the board approved the change by voice vote, 23–0.
