Senator Donahue (Lynn) used a point of personal privilege to press colleagues to return Senate File 2099, an animal‑cruelty measure, to the floor. "I'm very disappointed that we don't have the opportunity today to vote on 2099," she said, arguing the bill "does nothing more than protect people's pets, their companions, their protectors, and in many cases, their beloved family members."
