Commission ratifies emergency authorizations for dolphin removals at three private beaches

Town conservation staff briefed the commission on recent responses to marine mammal strandings. Multiple bottlenose dolphins washed ashore across the Outer Cape; Town staff coordinated with property owners, DPW and contractors to remove carcasses from private property and to dispose of them at the town pit. Mass Audubon provided a shorebird monitor while heavy equipment operated in sensitive areas.
