Member Robert Bondi updated the board on work at 50 E. Main, saying Valley Construction obtained bids and Klingner and Associates was developing construction documents. The board approved a payment request to Klingner for design work in the amount of $54,319.75.
Member Pamela Davidson said she planned to vote against paying invoices for the property until the board holds broader courthouse and county-building discussions; Chair Jared Hawkinson cautioned that withholding payment for services already rendered could expose the county to litigation, saying, "By not paying the bill it would open them up for litigation that they would end up paying in the end."
Later the board approved an additional proposal for a Klingner drain system study for $16,500 to assess parking-lot drainage and inverts, with proponents arguing the study could clarify site liabilities or help market the property to potential buyers. The drain study passed 12–2 after Members Cheryl Nache and Pamela Davidson voted no.
