Peru board authorizes Smart Growth grant application to update comprehensive plan
The Town Board authorized submitting an application to the New York State Department of State Smart Growth Community Planning Program and authorized the Lake Champlain–Lake George Regional Planning Board to assist; the town supervisor or designee may execute documents if the grant is awarded.

The Town Board of the Town of Peru approved a resolution authorizing the preparation and submission of an application to the New York State Department of State Smart Growth Community Planning Program to obtain funding assistance for an updated comprehensive plan. "Now, therefore, be it resolved that the town board and the town of Peru hereby authorizes the preparation and submission of an application to the New York State Department of State Smart Growth Community Planning Program for funding assistance to prepare an updated town comprehensive plan," the Chair read.
