Traverse County adopts Hazard Mitigation sub-grant resolution; electronics pick-up planned

Emergency Management Director Lynn Siegel presented Resolution No. 25-12 authorizing Traverse County to enter into a sub-grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management for Hazard Mitigation Assistance. The resolution authorizes the director to execute the sub-grant agreement and any necessary amendments on the county’s behalf; the board adopted the resolution at the April 15 meeting.
Siegel also informed commissioners that countywide electronics pick-up days will coincide with city collection events in May or June. The resolution and related grant paperwork were authorized to be signed by the Emergency Management Director to implement the project if awarded.
