Chair Dylan Andrion described meeting residents at Ohana Hope Village and invited commissioners to learn about on‑the‑ground supports. Commissioner Zhantell Lindo invited members and staff to visit Kaunakakai Baptist Church to see a faith‑based program that supports people experiencing homelessness and introduced the nonprofit Hale Aloha Molokaʻi, which focuses on reentry services for Native Hawaiian men.
Lindo asked the Commission to revisit a prior Temporary Investigation Group recommendation to adopt CarePortal to increase interaction with faith‑based partners and reported there has been "no progress" on that Commission‑approved recommendation. Commissioners discussed possible next steps for advancing the recommendation.
