Chad Anderson, representing MSD staff, provided a comprehensive update on transportation and infrastructure work under design and construction. Projects discussed included 4000 West, 8000 West, 7200 West, Main Street realignment (2028–2030 planning references), sidewalk projects, Safe Routes to School improvements and lighting projects; Anderson described design phases, environmental reviews, expected construction timelines and funding considerations.
Following a Mayor question about park-strip material near 3500 South and Montclair, Anderson agreed to follow up with UDOT to determine whether stamped concrete could substitute for crushed rock in that location. The update did not include a formal vote or budget appropriation that evening.
