Council approved the city's first 2026 budget amendment, including a one‑time transfer to pay for two digital reader boards and adjustments that affect the Facilities Fund reserve.
Kristen Reed, finance director, explained that Ordinance 2841 makes small changes between the first and second readings and adds $35,000 to purchase two digital reader boards, paid from the street fund; Reed said the cost was split across funds based on existing IT allocation percentages. She also said Fund 35 (Facilities Fund) would have its reserve balance fall below the city's reserve policy as a result of the amendment and noted the change was handled as a one-time transfer.
Committee recommended approval on second reading and the council approved the ordinance by voice vote.
