Resident urges action on long-term RV; police say nuisance process underway

A Colfax resident reported a trailer parked on South Lake Street that has not moved after three weeks and urged ordinance enforcement; Police Chief Michael Melcher said officers have contacted the resident and "there is a process the city follows for nuisances and a resolution takes time."

Jeremiah Roberts of 609 S Meadow raised a complaint at the May 18 meeting about an RV parked on South Lake Street. Roberts said he filed an initial complaint three weeks earlier and that the trailer had not moved; he urged the city to enforce the ordinance or change it if enforcement is infeasible.
