"It's kind of the device itself is kind of self explanatory. It's a remote acoustic speaker device that provides realistic gunfire," the sheriff said, noting the county had budgeted the funds and is seeking approval to add the system to future trainings. The motion to purchase the system carried by voice vote; no budget amendment was required, and the purchase will be made from fund 0100175614.
