The Board enacted Ordinance No. 2026-16 to approve CPA(SS) 2025-12, a Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment for approximately 5.03 acres at 8995 Barrel Factory Road. The amendment changes the Future Land Use Map designation from Agricultural-Intensive to Residential-A and includes a text amendment restricting development on the property to a single single-family dwelling.
The Planning and Zoning Agency recommended approval by a 5-1 vote; county planning staff presented the application and there was no public comment. The Board voted unanimously to adopt the ordinance based upon the four findings of fact presented in the staff report.
