The Georgetown-Ridge Farm Board of Education approved a wide-ranging package of policy updates at the May 18 meeting. The update package included revisions and supporting administrative procedures for board communications and meeting types; access to district public records and retention schedules; grievance and Title IX procedures; hiring processes and conviction-record notices; student wellness, remote/blended learning plans and Title I program materials; and numerous student conduct, athletics and records policies.
The motion to approve the policy updates was moved by Greg Emmert and seconded by Eric Flessner; the minutes record that the motion carried with no nays. The minutes list the specific policy codes and supporting exhibits/procedures (for example, 2:140 E; 2:200 and related APs; 4:140 E4; 6:170 AP1 and several 7:340 AP1 items) but do not include the text changes themselves. District staff or the policy committee would maintain detailed versions of each revised policy for public inspection as required by the district’s records access rules.
