The Scott County budget committee approved the proposed community corrections budget packet with one minor labeling change and scheduled a follow-up budget meeting for Aug. 14. Chair led the discussion and asked staff to update vehicle line items to read "vehicle maintenance and fuel."
Staff member (S2), who presented the materials, told the committee the 11.22 fund holds user fees and is "strictly user fees is what that is," and explained that recent grant cuts required moving certain positions and benefits into the 11.22 account. The packet as revised was accepted by the committee while staff committed to make the relabeling change before final submission.
The committee also confirmed the August 7 budget meeting would be cancelled because the salary study will not be ready; the next budget meeting was set for Aug. 14 at 9 a.m. Chair reminded members of the county's November 1 budget deadline.
