Judge/Executive Scott Bates told the Court the county accepted Hinkle's laid‑blacktop bid but needed to accept pickup bids from multiple producers to account for transportation costs and plant availability. The minutes record Hinkle’s pickup price at $81.50 per ton and Mago and Shelbyville Asphalt at about $83 per ton; on motion by Esq. Brad Fisher and second by Esq. Kevin McManis the Court accepted bids from all three vendors.
