Tampa JCCs asks for continued county support for arts and antisemitism programs

Pamela Veron, speaking for Tampa JCCs and Federation Inc., summarized the organization's arts and culture programming and thanked the commission for past support. She highlighted student arts competitions, film festivals and a program called "Shine a Light on Antisemitism" and asked the panel to consider the group's FY2027 application.
"These programs do more than enrich cultural life. They support our local economy by generating business for venues, restaurants, hotels, caterers, bookstores, printers, and other small businesses," Veron said, and asked the commission to continue support given the current social climate and rising antisemitism. The commission acknowledged the submission; staff will include the application in the scoring process.
