Work group seeks to route student-collected walk-audit data into DPW&T projects

Irv Beckert of the Department of Public Works and Transportation responded that the subgroup should provide the walk-audit results to the broader group because DPW&T has ongoing projects on Belcrest Road and Adelphi Road and the students' findings could inform design and prioritization. "We do have a project...on Belcrest Road and Adelphi Road. So I think the results would inform those projects," Beckert said.
Members discussed tailoring audit tools to younger students so elementary-level data can be collected reliably, and Marcus Monroe recommended standardizing audit forms across municipalities to ensure consistent, comparable data for municipalities and county agencies.
