Trainer demonstrated the speakers tab in Live Manager and how clerks add, order and call speakers for a given item. He showed that speakers can be queued for items before the item is called, that timers (1, 3 or 5 minutes) are configurable, and that clerks can extend or end a speaker early.
"When you call someone to speak, it adds a little note there," the trainer said, showing the clerk-side notes that are generated per speaker and can later be combined by clerks when preparing minutes. He also emphasized that elected officials are typically not timed by default but the system allows applying a timed limit if the jurisdiction prefers.
Participants practiced moving speakers up and down in the queue and confirmed that the public display (TV in chamber) will show the current speaker and a progress indicator when enabled. The trainer advised testing queue behavior on large agendas with many speakers to confirm display and timing settings.
