The court discussed hourly pay norms for temporary staff and noted existing temp pay near $12.50/hour, but commissioners indicated the part-time budget would be set and discussed during the upcoming budget process. The motion was seconded and carried 4-0.
Commissioners asked staff to return with details about where the money would come from and how the role would be posted; they suggested revisiting longer-term funding and classification at the Aug. 11 meeting. Until OpenGov and other systems are fully operational for fee intake, staff will use current receipt and spreadsheet processes to track development fees and permits.
