Board continues Surry County budget public hearing after newspaper ad error

After staff presentation, Miss Perkins explained that a clerical error in a newspaper advertisement incorrectly listed the weekday for the public hearing, which could have confused residents. "It came to my attention that there was a clerical error in the newspaper advertisement," Perkins said, noting the ad showed the correct date but misidentified April 29 as a Thursday rather than a Wednesday.
