The Staff member told the board the town has switched to liquid chloride for dust control, has two leased chloride tanks stored in the salt-and-sand shed, and is on a list to have the tanks filled. The town will retrofit the provided small tank to fit the back of the truck and then use liquid chloride rather than bulk bags, which reduces labor and disposal costs.
