Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen told the board she received an email that appeared to be from Thielen Excavating requesting payment via wire transfer for an invoice. After checking records and calling Thielen Excavating, the township confirmed the email was a scam and that there were no outstanding invoices with that vendor.
Separately, the board reviewed one vendor quote for an office computer and requested a second quote before proceeding; Vice Chairman Geyen recommended adding supervisor laptops to the procurement options. Staff will follow up with an additional vendor quote before making a purchase decision.
