The board recommended that the council approve a construction management task order with Park Hill for phase‑1 of the terminal expansion at a cost of $680,586.
Don said Park Hill has been the design firm for all project phases and that FAA rules require an independent fee estimate (IFE) for professional services funded with grant dollars. Staff said they completed the IFE process and negotiated fees; Park Hill will provide 16 hours a week of dedicated on‑site inspection and oversight as part of the scope.
The task order is grant‑eligible and staff indicated the local match would come from the previously approved bond program. A board member moved to recommend approval and the motion passed by voice vote; the item will be forwarded to city council on the August 13 agenda.
