Florence board approves memberships and dues for community development and code enforcement staff

The Florence Mayor and Board approved payment of professional membership dues for two city staff members during the Jan. 20 meeting. Alderman John Banks moved and Alderman Brent Sistrunk seconded approval of payments: $175 to the Middle Mississippi Building Officials Association, $100 to the Building Officials Association of Mississippi, and $300 to the Mississippi Association of Code Enforcement (MACE) to cover dues and memberships for Community Development Director Joel Sims and Code Enforcement Officer Richard Thomas; the motion carried unanimously.
