The Florence mayor and board on Dec. 2 approved the purchase of an annual on-premise water data management software program from Aquatic Informatics at $9,523.48. Public Works Water/Sewer Operator Billy Russell recommended the sole-source purchase and the board approved the expenditure by unanimous vote after a motion by Alderman John Banks and a second by Alderman Brent Sistrunk.
