Council approves expanded size allowances for detached accessory dwellings
Council adopted Ordinance 2025-02 to amend Willards detached accessory dwelling rules, allowing an additional 250 sq ft on parcels up to one acre and an additional 500 sq ft on parcels larger than an acre.

Willard City Council on March 13 adopted Ordinance 2025-02 revising rules for detached accessory dwellings. The ordinance allows properties up to one acre an additional 250 square feet and properties larger than one acre an additional 500 square feet for detached accessory units.
