Willard City Council on March 13 adopted Ordinance 2025-02 revising rules for detached accessory dwellings. The ordinance allows properties up to one acre an additional 250 square feet and properties larger than one acre an additional 500 square feet for detached accessory units.
Council Member Mike Braegger moved to approve the ordinance and Council Member Rex Christensen seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Council members discussed and approved the numeric size adjustments as part of efforts to clarify standards for accessory dwellings and expand options for property owners.
