The Dinwiddie County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution March 17 honoring Mike Parrish for his long service as a Virginia Cooperative Extension Agent. County Administrator W. Kevin Massengill spoke in tribute to Parrish’s contributions to local agriculture, Extension programming and community partnerships; the resolution was presented and adopted upon motion of Daniel D. Lee and seconded by Dr. Mark E. Moore.
Board members praised Parrish’s outreach, support for farm research and youth programs, and his role documenting local agricultural history. The resolution was adopted unanimously and a formal copy was presented to Mr. Parrish during the meeting.
