Jail administrator reports 209 inmates; five transfers to state this week

David Weber, the jail administrator for Comanche County, reported the weekly census and recent transfers to the authority on March 2.
"AS OF FEBRUARY 27, 2026 THE DETENTION CENTER HAD A COUNT OF 209 INMATES," Weber reported, adding that the facility's population was comprised of 167 males and 42 females. He said five inmates were ready to go to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and that five were transferred to DOC during the week.
Weber also provided a combined population figure: "AS OF TODAY, THERE ARE 227 INMATES AT CCDC, 109 INMATES AT OTHER COUNTIES, FOR A COMBINED TOTAL OF 336." The report was presented as the weekly administrative update; no policy actions or directives followed from the board during the meeting.
