The Comanche County Facilities Authority voted to adopt the Comanche County–Lawton Emergency Management Handbook during its Feb. 23 meeting. Chairman Johnny Owens moved for adoption, Josh Powers seconded, and the motion passed with Owens, Powers and Ryan John voting aye.
The handbook was described in the meeting as an internal operational reference that consolidates policies, procedures, roles and guidance intended to support daily operations, staff training, continuity planning and emergency response activities. The board approved the handbook as an internal document; no changes to external policy or funding were taken at the meeting.
