Lane said about 800 public damage reports had been submitted and that combined reporting and field vetting produced roughly 130 major or destroyed damage reports, with the state confirming 74 such cases in Parker County. He said seven teams plus volunteers were conducting damage assessments and that the county hoped to finish assessments within a day or two.
Lane warned that, based on preliminary damage totals, Parker County likely would not meet the state threshold for certain types of federal public assistance and that local nonprofits and the United Way would take the lead on much of short‑term recovery and donation management.
