Council approves $400,000 GO Bond allocation for sheriff vehicles
The council approved $400,000 from the GO Bond for Sheriff Steve Bush to purchase fleet vehicles (eight cars were requested; one council member opposed). A separate request to fund vehicles from Public Safety LIT was removed from the agenda.

Sheriff Steve Bush told the council the GO Bond budget included $500,000 for fleet vehicles and that he planned to buy eight cars. Council members discussed prior spending of roughly $100,000 on body armor and whether grant funding could be pursued for that expense. After debate, the council approved $400,000 from the GO Bond for vehicles; the vote was 5-1 with Council member Jim Freiberger opposed.
