Board of Elections reports January registration work, updates county directory
Board of Elections staff told the Government Operations Committee they processed 719 voter-related transactions in January, completed the yearly survey to the State Board of Elections and updated Cayuga County's official directory of elected officials for 2026.

Chantell Hotaling and Keith Batman of the Cayuga County Board of Elections presented January activity to the Government Operations Committee, reporting 719 voter-related transactions for the month, including 191 new registrations, 136 address changes, 49 party changes, 156 name changes and 90 incomplete records. The presentation said staff completed the Board's annual survey to the State Board of Elections and continued work on the 2026 voter registration plan.
