The Board of Ellis County Commissioners met in regular session at 8:30 a.m. on April 21, 2026. Commissioner Michael Berges called the meeting to order; Chair Neal Younger and Commissioner Nathan Leiker participated by Zoom. Interim County Administrator Justin Craig, County Counselor Bill Jeter and County Clerk Bobbi L. Dreiling were present and the meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Berges said the meeting format was modified because Commissioners Younger and Leiker were in Washington, D.C., and noted the meeting’s purpose was to approve the consent agenda so the county could continue business. After approving the consent agenda by voice vote, Commissioner Younger adjourned the meeting at 8:32 a.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. in the Administration Center Commission Chambers, 718 Main Street, Hays, Kansas.
