The commissioners adopted a renewal for a surface-mining conditional-use permit filed by Frontier Native Stone, LLC for a site on Wabaunsee Road. Zoning Administrator Josh Falk said fees for the operator were current and the permit's impact fee is $1,200. Operator Cody Michaelis told the board he "anticipates two more years of operation" at the site and estimated roughly 4 acres have been reclaimed with about 4 acres currently open.
