Committee begins drafting guiding principles for Greater Rigby Area plan
The Greater Rigby Area Committee reviewed a draft project plan for a defined 30-square-mile area and asked members to submit seven–ten sentence vision statements to form guiding principles that will shape the Comprehensive Plan, focusing on community character, where commercial uses should cluster, and farmland protection.

Planning and Zoning Administrator Milton Ollerton opened the substantive agenda by outlining the Project Plan and a roughly 30-square-mile study area "from the county line to 600 North and from 3700 East to 4200 East," asking the committee to craft guiding principles that will steer development over the next 25–30 years. "We will make guiding principles tonight and get input on how you want to see the area develop," Ollerton said, framing the group's work as the foundation of the Comprehensive Plan.
