The Van Buren County Board of Supervisors approved the FY2026 appropriations resolution on June 23, setting spending authorization by department in accordance with Iowa Code Section 331.434. The resolution establishes accounting requirements, monthly reporting by the auditor, and states that appropriations lapse at the close of business on June 30, 2026.
Separately, the board adopted Resolution #06-23-2025D establishing maximum interfund operating transfers for FY2026: no more than $5,000 may be transferred from the General Basic fund to the County Conservation Land Acquisition Trust fund, and no more than $1,018,577 may be transferred from the Rural Services Basic fund to the Secondary Road fund.
