Supervisors adopt FY2026 appropriations schedule and authorize interfund transfer limits
The board adopted Resolution #06-23-2025C setting departmental appropriations for FY2026 and Resolution #06-23-2025D authorizing maximum interfund transfers (up to $5,000 from General Basic to Conservation Trust and up to $1,018,577 from Rural Services to Secondary Roads). The Van Buren County Board of Supervisors approved the FY2026 appropriations resolution on June 23, setting spending authorization by department in accordance with Iowa Code Section 331.434. The resolution establishes accounting requirements, monthly reporting by the auditor, and states that appropriations lapse at the close of business on June 30, 2026.
