Van Buren County supervisors voted May 27 to bind county insurance coverage for FY2026 with the Heartland Insurance Risk Pool (HIRP), effective July 1, 2025. The action followed a presentation from Judi Hamaker, consultant to HIRP, and Mary Griffin, account executive with Holmes Murphy, who reviewed proposed coverages and premiums.
