Engineer reports road projects; Board considers grant-writing options and used equipment purchase
County Engineer Ryne Thornburg updated the Board on multiple road projects and proposed procurement; the Board discussed grant-writing options for a Safe Streets & Roads application including a $500 preliminary assessment/$20,000 full application from Kimley Horn or a $3,000 full application from RC&D Pathfinders.

County Engineer Ryne Thornburg updated supervisors on secondary road work including the Comanche Quarry rock pile and Route J16 slurry leveling. Thornburg said the county may use a handwritten warrant to purchase a used skid sprayer if inspection is satisfactory. He also reported watershed training and scheduled NRCS watershed inspections.
