Chairman Perdue announced at the May 5 meeting that Houston County will implement the next phase of a scheduled three‑year water rate adjustment starting July 1. He said the county's water rates remain among the most affordable in the region, and noted the county had not raised rates since 2006 prior to adjustments made in 2024 and 2025.
