Commissioners used the public hearing to probe whether cost savings from narrower, privately maintained streets would translate into sustained affordability for buyers. John Hill, the project manager, said the developer expects to "deliver homes in the $740,000 range" for Phase 1 and explained that building private internal streets narrower than town‑owned streets reduces upfront infrastructure cost while meeting pavement quality standards.
