Uplands Foundation: infrastructure coordination under way; Kratos hiring expected before fall

Bryant Niehoff, CEO of Uplands Science Technology Foundation, briefed the Daviess County Commissioners on a six‑month status report for development work spanning Daviess, Greene and Martin counties. When asked by Secretary Nathan Gabhart about near‑term job openings, Niehoff said he could not provide exact 2026 numbers at the meeting but that Kratos "is hiring currently but they are not set to officially open until closer to September and they plan to have 100 employees there." He said he would provide more complete prospect and hiring details at future updates.
