Rigo (S7) told council the city was awarded $47,858,955 through the CDBG‑MIT program for infrastructure and drainage activities; Amendment No. 1 adds $328,000 in engineering services to cover the redesign and modeling and raises the total engineering contract for those activities to $5,288,819, with most construction and work funded through the grant. Council discussed potential traffic and detour impacts during construction and staff said the activities must be completed by roughly Dec. 2026 per grant timing.
Council voted to approve the amendment and authorized the city manager to execute the necessary documents; staff said the additional engineering fees will come from the CDBG‑MIT grant program and that the city will provide any required local funding for the amendment.
