The Senate opened its March 2, 2026, floor session by welcoming visiting delegations from Iowa community colleges. Senator Alonzo introduced 10 students and advisor Jennifer McCune from CometClass Student Leadership at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, asking colleagues to 'please give a warm welcome' to the visitors.
