The Senate moved and passed House File 2635, a bill the sponsor described as reforming prior authorization processes and parts of Iowa's certificate-of-need (CON) law. Senator Warmie (Senator from Story), who carried the legislation on the floor, said the bill aims to reduce administrative burdens and speed patient access to services while preserving state oversight of physical facilities.
