Committee backs moving Airport water-looping Phase II application to Council
Staff said looping a dead-end trunk across SR-57 to serve the airport will improve system reliability; Phase II will bore under SR-57 following Phase I work at the bulk water facility. The committee unanimously forwarded the legislation to Council.

The committee unanimously voted to forward legislation seeking authority to apply for Water Supply Revolving Loan support for Airport Water Looping Phase II. City Engineer Glenn Davis said looping the dead-end line that serves the airport across SR-57 will enhance system hydraulics and reliability; the work will be bored under the roadway to avoid prolonged surface closures.
