The sheriff addressed the court in support of personnel actions for sheriff's office positions. He recommended reclassifying a clerk position (017101001) to administrative assistant (01710001) for pay and duty parity with similar positions in the jail, noting the incumbent, Beatrice Urbina, has more than 25 years of service and performs duties including open records, Texas DPS accident reporting and acting as a Spanish-language interpreter.
