The Comal County Commissioners Court approved a proclamation declaring Nov. 4–11, 2024 as Operation Green Light for Veterans. The proclamation recognizes local veterans and encourages citizens and businesses to display a green light in a window; it also directs that the courthouse bell tower be lit green during the observance.
"Now, therefore, be it proclaimed by the Comal County Commissioners Court that November 4 through 11, 2024 is hereby recognized as ... Operation Green Light for Veterans in Comal County," the proclamation reads. The court voted to adopt the proclamation without further debate.
