Commissioner Ann Taylor raised the prospect of a one-year moratorium on artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and made a motion to enact it. After discussion among commissioners the motion was withdrawn, but the Board sought consensus for the County Attorney to draft a moratorium package and return it at a future public hearing.
